Wadi Hajer Bani Omar is considered as one of the most important and oldest region in Rustaq and is situated in northern part of Al-Batinah. It is known for its beautiful scenery and archeological buildings for which it is distinguished. The most reputed of these archeological sites is Bait Al-Shara that is marked by two old towers which are situated in front of the village. Moreover, there is a tourist area known as Al-Ghubra where one can enjoy natural beauty and a clear water river that flows the whole year round. There are also two giant rocks which are a wonder to behold and can be considered as miracle of nature. In addition, it is also famous for its biggest wadi called Al-Garbi. Wadi Bani Hajer Bani Omar enjoys many public services like educational, health, agricultural, residential and commercial facilities. The place is also known for Al-Thuwaihar village — the second biggest village in the wadi, after which comes Disli, which also known for its scenic beauty. The local residents here have many demands which are yet to be fulfilled, like the paving of roads
